Planning And Zoning
The mission of the Department of Planning and Zoning is to protect and improve Federalsburg’s neighborhoods, Downtown Business District, community resources and our natural environment while planning for sustainable development that will enhance the quality of life for all our residents.
The Planning Commission reviews site plans and assists in the review of special exception and subdivision applications. The Commission reviews zoning and subdivision regulations designed to ensure that proposed developments are constructed in accordance with the Comprehensive Plan.
In your planning and zoning requests, you will need to provide any documentation, preliminary drawings and your written request 10 days prior to the scheduled meeting.
When there are Agenda items the Commission meets on the last Tuesday of every month (except December) @ 6:00 pm – to be included on the Agenda please contact the Town Office (410) 754-8173.
